For ease of maintenance, this product has been treated with “Howard Cutting Board Oil” prior to treatment with “Howard Butcher Block Conditioner”. Both products have been selected because they are easily available to you for regular maintenance purposes and are food safe.
We recommend using the conditioner for when your boards are in need of routine re-oiling (usually every 3rd washing). However, prolonged use may expose bare dry wood; for which we recommend using the deeper penetrating cutting board oil.
-To prolong the life of any cutting board, do the best you can to replace the moisture in the wood with the mineral oil. To protect this new balance, and season your board, regularly use the conditioner on any ”dry” areas.-
